Default What do you guys think?

I'm trying to see what all of your opinions are. I'm trying to sell my 96 hatch w/ jdm itr swap and having a little trouble selling. I'm asking $9500obo, but I haven't had any requests so far. I bought the car about 2 yrs ago and have really never driven it, due to multiple deployments. The cars has a newly rebuilt b18c, act stage 2 clutch, exedy flywheel. It comes with a bunch of aftermarket parts that I have not put on due to again the military. Do you think my asking price is to much or what? Here are some pictures.

I'll tell you why. It's WAY OVER PRICED. I hate to break it to you, but most people won't even consider buying a civic for that kind of money, even fr a rebuilt B18C. Sorry man, but most people don't make much profit if any when they sell their modified honda.

Cut that price in half. Seriously.

You should put this in the Vehicles For Sale section with "testing waters" in the title to get a gauge of what people will offer without trying to sell it.

The motor is stock so far, other then the rebuild. I've got aftermarket eng parts that come with the car. I still have stock everything other then power steering. You think I should part everything out? I've seen the motor swap go for $3500 alone. I was thinking about trading outright for a bike what do you think?

Yeah, ****, that thing aint worth anything NEAR 9500.

Sorry champ.

Hondas don't retain their value when it comes to aftermarket parts. Freshly rebuilt JDM ITR swap, some extras, nice body....

Maybe 5 or so, tops.

If you're asking 9500, then you're NOT gonna get any hits b/c the car's worth like half of that, sorry man. Is what it is, cars don't retain all the value that you put into them with aftermarket bullshit.

Example:
'95 EX ~2500
Turbo kit (name brand) - 2500

That car is NOT worth 5000, more like 3500 or so...it's worth anything near adding up all the extra **** you have in there, sorry .

5 is a pretty fair price for your car. Maybe start it at 5.5 and work your way down from there - wouldn't sell it for less than 4.5 though.

You'll get a ****-ton more money parting the car out than selling it whole.

If you part it out then you can sell the swap for ~3000, 3500 or so, the chassis for maybe 2 grand, clutch, flywheel should stay with the engine but all that other crap.

Though you'll get more parting out than you ever would trying to sell it whole.

Price is too high but Im sure you can get more out of it than $4500. Supposedly mods dont increase value but when someone likes what you have theyre more willing to put more cash towards it.

People telling you that mods have no effect on value is BS. You'll never see a clean *** '96-98 hatch with a clean title, good paint, CTR conversion, 5 lug conversion, some TE37s, and an ITR swap go for the same price as a bone fuggin stock mint condition hatch. Youre never going to get all of your money back its true, but dont think its only going to sell for the same price as a civic with a stock d16y7 in the same condition. You WILL get more out of it.

Again $9500 is definitely too steep, but youd definitely get more than any ol stocker hatch.

what country are you in?
is that 9500 U.S.?
i'm not sure where Dexhelm is.

from what i've seen on ebay most swapped hatches with modest mods go for around 5500, at most you should expect 5500 maybe 6000.

I didn't even read that, that's Dexheim, not helm - Germany.

Not sure if they're using the deutchmarks (sp?) over there or the euros - or if that number was converted to US dollars though.

9500 Euro = 13,500 dollars
9500 = deutchmarks (sp?) 6,300 dollars

So it might be a normal price, depending on what the hell they're using (which I do not recall).
