Default what do you guys know about a B18A1 swap into ek

anyone do this, know someone who has? what all would have to be included to do this swap. i'm not really an engine guy.. but theres an oppurtunity that may have risen and it sparked my interest. any info or help you could give me would be really really appreciated.

the guy selling it writes:

"good condition B18A1 with ecu. tranny was cracked during shipping and is no good. out of 91 teg 5spd. intake manifold was hot tanked and given new gaskets and injector seals. about 75k"

when i hear back from him, i'll let you know any more details i find out about the motor.

thanks again guys i really appreciate your help

the only reason i'm interested in this is because of the price he posted. now i'm still waiting to hear back from the guy to get a full list of whats included and any damage or such.. and when i find out i'll post it all here. maybe it will help make the decision.

you can get b18b swaps from a junkyard for like $600. They're a dime a dozen.

I would like to find a salvage yard that would sell me a complete or even longblock for $600 from an integra... They aren't 10 years old, so the prices aren't very appealing in my area.. where you at?

I'm buying a friends 1994 integra b18b with ecu, tranny, mounts, etc. for $1000 + a 200k mile d16z6

also like i said at the beginning, i'm not really an engine gearhead guy..yet. i haven't really had my hands all over engines before so if i went to the junkyard i wouldn't exactly know what to look for or watch out for.

anyone have any more opinions about the a1?

he got back to me today and wrote:

"i got the engine and tranny from bergen auto for $650. the tranny was cracked durring shipping and by the time i found out about it, the yard would not take it back. the car was hit in the left rear. the backseat was pushed up to the drivers seat. i ran the car myself in december. it sat in my garage all winter and didnt move."
