Default What do you do when the part where the bumper connects to the fender breaks off?

So recently I replaced my bumper with another front bumper that I have. Everything is good but the only problem is is that the part that connects to the fender is cracked. The inner piece is missing so basically shaped like a C. Is there anyway I can still connect the bumper to the fender so its not just wobbling off?

And also theres some minor chips on the bumper, its about the size of the bottom of a soda can. Its chipped down to the primer. Is there any way to fix those chips? Would wetsanding the area, spray few layers of paint , spray few layers of clear coat, and then wet sanding again work?

If you're going to wet sand and paint a bumper... may as well do it with a new one. especially if the one you're trying to use is broken..

the new bumper cover's aren't too expensive. less than $100 last i checked.

Yea I'm on a budget right now. Until then I will get a new bumper. But for now is there anyway to fix the side of the bumper so itll cling onto the fender part?

A bolt, 2 washers and a nut, that works well. Clamps it to the fender.
