Default What do you call this part here? see pics inside.



i got the picture from here and since i can't find the answer i might aswell start a thread. what do you call that part from the picture above? NOT THE THERMOSTAT the one where you put the thermostat into.mine have a hairline crack in it and it needs to be replace.

thermostat housing

EDIT... the front part that you pulled off is the housing and the part where the thermostat is still sitting is the case

Its under engine/thermostat
