Basicly I don't cover them but I am carefull about spraying around them. If some water gets on them is not a big deal. Remember they are designed to wether the elemenst so a little water is not going to hurt.

Hehe...I just spray Simple Green....and use a pressure washer to rinse until no suds are left. No big deal, just start the engine when you are done and don't spray the air filter with water.
When you drive in rain, and thru puddles on the road, you don't think a lot of water gets to your engine??

good point! i forgot about the air-filter, maybe because i'm running a stock box
if you're running an air filter, listen to FifthGear and cover up that filter too
