What do I have here?
What's up Honda-TEch? It's been a good long while since I've been on the board...
Can one of you guys tell me what I have here? I bought this block and head almost 5 years ago and will never use it for it's origional purpose. I'm not even sure what year head and block these are... can you give me an idea based on the codes in these pics? And then, maybe tell me what I might get (reasonably) for the two of them over at the market place? Thanks all!

the head is not complete (comes with: valve cover, cams, valves, nuts n' bolts) I believe it's missing (according to honda/acura folk) the intake manifold, VTech solenoid, distributor, and I think that's it...
The block has good crank, caps, bolts, oil pump, pickup, 3 ls pistons and rods, and some other small stuff... no oil pan
What are they worth?

Cars are basically made a year before they're sold. If it was made in '94 - it was most likely sold as a new car in '95.

You're gonna have to get an LS/VTEC kit to provide the VTEC head with the oil it needs - that'll run ya about 800 bucks.

Maybe 4 or 500 for the block if it's in good condition? Maybe 300 for the head if it's incomplete...
If it has a trans - depends on what trans.

Re: (Syndacate)
the b18b1 is literally worth nothing
let me see the sleeves its hard to guage the value of a block stamp.............. you could have rod holes going thorough all the cylinders
thats an obd1- b16a head, if its usdm, the only car it can come from is a del sol vtec otherwise it could come from alot of japan
head is worth 300-350 you can ask for more but b16a heads have been going down in value over recent times
block is worth 50 bucks maybe less
whole ls engines that run flawlessly go for 300 bucks soo gauge approtpretly, rember this is socal and there are millons of these ******* parts around, price low sell quick, if you sell at market value itll take forever to sell

the block is in great shape... sleeves are fine, but I would hone them anyways if I was putting something together...
I'm pretty sure the Head is USDM...
Thanks for the price estimates...
And I'm not in socal... I'm in NOVA

I know that. But cars made in early 94 are sold as 94s. My 99 GSR has a 99 head stamp. Where as my 99 EK was made in 11/98. It's all a crapshoot lol.

Are you serious?? Its like 250 directly from golden eagle. You could source it out for cheaper than that.

your worth nothing, this is a good reliable block, if your looking for a turbo it doesnt get much better than an LS-T
