I love my ITR tranny.. 4.785 final drive really makes a difference.
I rarely drag race with the car but I was dead even with a modded turbo S15 and I smoked the **** out of an R32 GTST

Meh, I had a T04S powered S14 Silvia and I personally feel that my B16 with bolt ons is alot more fun to drive. Just something about small, lightweight N/A cars.
However my friend's B18C T04S EG6 was just downright scary.
If I had the OP's car I would focus on removing all the weight out of it and making the car drive better.
Better brakes, full cage, suspension, good LSD, tires and a closer gears. Leave the motor stock, you'll have a blast and won't be sweating bullets when it comes time for emissions.
