What did I do to my valve cover nut/stud?
I installed a new valve cover today and realized that forgot to install the rubber gaskets underneath the spark plug holes So I went to remove it one more time and the nut on the lower left hand corner is just spinning It won't tighten or loosin, it just spins? I tried pulling up while spinning it and pushing down while tightening, and I get nothing. Never had this problem before. What did I do and how can I fix it? I NEED my car for tomorrow

Sounds like you stripped it out. Not quite sure though. Never had it happen too me. You have too be really careful with those bolts and the torque values, they strip or break pretty easily. I guess you could try drilling it out and be very careful, but not quite sure though.

never heard that happening before, but when i snapped the top end of my bolt off and replaced it there was no big difficulty. i think the bolt was only like $4.50 or something like that from honda.
