What Cuases?
Hey guys here I am agian working on the car. Hopefully one day ALL the quirks wil be worked out and you all will be to thank. Well I got my car running "better" by adjusting the TPS to the right voltage and all my check engine lights are gone BUT tell me what I need to fix with the cars idle jumps up and down but DOESNT trow a check engine light?

Yup, try cleaning the IACV. Use search to find poisons post on how to clean, really easy.
Or, you might be low on coolant, gives the same symptions of a bad idle as you described.

hmmm coolant? could be cuase last time I started it I checked to make sure the heating system was running and I either didnt let it run long enough or my fans messed up cuase it never kicked on

Yup, this could cause it too.
Bleed your coolant system.

Any time.
When I had my 90 prelude si, oh it was a good car... Anyway, it leaked coolant until it got low. Once low the idle bounced up and down until the engine was at operational temp. In really cold weather, even after it's warm the t/b could stay cold causing the idle serge.

you might want to check your intake manifold gasket for leaks/cracks, my friend had a 240sx and that was the cause of his eratic idle
edit: i'm not sure if that would throw a check engine light or not, but just a suggestion. hopefully someone who knows will post and then i cna learn something new
