No, the bottom of the audio console screws into the spot that holds the cup holder. You'll no longer have cup holders at all

that is a USDM option I know this for a fact, cause if you notice that the cig. liter is on the far right side, (away from the driver), on the JDM one it's on the far left side (away from the driver) (always away from the driver), you can buy this pice at you loc. honda dealer, check it out, before you go buy one on ebay.

I think the point of buying it on Ebay, is because it's an item that the average dealer won't have, being that the car is 10 years old.

Depending on the dealer, they can check and have one shipped in usually free of charge. Its easier if you have a part # though.
Mike!

The Honda dealer I just started working for, in the parts dept. had one in stock... so I bought it. These are discontinued, BUT there are a limited number that are still available. IIRC there are about 110 in the US, at one of the parts depots. Ordering it from you local Honda dealer will take about 1 week.
The Honda part number is 08U60-SR0-112A. If the dealer tells you its no longer available THEY ARE LYING.

Ummm ok dude. I work in a Honda parts dept and know what cost is.
Plus, go to ebay. You will see that the price for the console is around $90..... + $45-$55 for shipping.

Asked 7 Honda dealerships around my area for these consoles, just to see if they had them in stock and for how much. I have one stored away anyway. But only 3 had them and the rest didn't have any in stock and wouldn't (they said they couldn't) order them any longer. The prices between the 3 different dealerships were from $160 - $165. WOW!

Re: what console is this (righteyeblind)
It looks like a GSR one, just my opinion, but they did have this as an option for EG's in Japan also

When they said they couldn't order them anymore they were lying. They just must not have wanted to. Oh and as far as pricing, look for this part number (08U60-SR0-112A or 08U60-SR0-111A)on this page. BTW the link is for the Honda dealer where I work, and the price is significantly less than $160-$165
