Default What Civics or Integras have the B16A3 Engine?

Hello all,

Ive been looking for a repair manual online for my 1995 Civic Del Sol VTEC DOHC with a B16A3 engine and I only find repair manuals for Civics. So I was wondering which Civichas the same B16A3 Engine so I can use that repair manual.

Thanks

No Civics or Integras have A3s that I know of, but my understanding is that the A2 and A3 are basically the exact same engine. By the way, how can you not find a Del Sol manual? Manuals typically cover all models over a certain year range and so the DOHC VTEC model should be included.

As far as I know...there weren't any except the del sol. I could be wrong though. Integra's didn't have b16's and the only civic with a b16 was the 99-00 SI and it has a b16a2.

Here's what the EPC says for some parts. Don't ask me why the description for the block say B17A1. The part number for the block of the 2G Integra GSR is different, so it doesn't make sense to me.

CYLINDER HEAD ASSY.
12100-P30-010

94-95 DEL SOL VTEC (5MT)
92-93 INTEGRA (5MT)

BLOCK ASSY., CYLINDER (B17A1)
11000-PR3-030

94, 96-97 DEL SOL

I had to check this for other years because for 1995 there is no block assembly listed. It's only listed in individual parts. I'd imagine the part number is the same though.

Super. Also off topic in this thread (unless you can explain how this is supposed to help otherwise).

I save LOTS of info on Hondas and I still haven't found anything more in depth for the del Sol than the system wiring diagrams for a 1997 model.

Factory service manuals (which this guy is looking for) usually cover one model. All the trims of that one model that are sold in that country though. (Though the 6G Civic manual doesn't even mention anything about the GX.)

The Civic and the del Sol/Civic del Sol are distinct models and do not share the same manual.

I know that there were Del Sols with the B16A3. I guess technically the Del Sol is a Civic but I personally separate the Del Sol from the other Civics and consider it a separate model (same with the Civic CRX). So to make things clear, what I was saying is that no Civic or Integra had a B16A3 but of course the Del Sol DOHC VTEC did.

I know. What I was saying is that I figured you'd be able to get a Del Sol specific service manual from Helms. egsleepercivic says that he has one, don't they exist?

Right, of course you can get the manual form Helms. But my other posts were mostly referring to this...

Which really is against site rules.

We're not allowed to link to online FSMs in the threads.

I found the manual for the 96-00 Civics, including one with a B16A2. Im going to change a head gasket on my del sol so I was wondering if the procedure, torque specs and order of placing the headbolts is the same as B16A3?

If this question doesn't get answered in this thread you'll probably have better luck making a new thread for it with the title reflecting the subject.
