i have a 1996 civic ex with hks exaust and injen short ram. i wanted to know what else can i do thats bolt on. also what exactly does a portpolish do i have experience with chevy 357 engine but i dont know jack about honda and their engines if any one can help me out id appriciate it.

i think you should save up an get a turbo. All those little things you do end up costing as much, and not doing anything, unless you start playing with cams and internals

Bolt-on, bolton is a term that means somthing you can just slap on the engine and makes power. intake, header, exhaust are a few.

Now dubxl152, before you go spending alot of money, what do you want out of the car? like what are your final goals? you should decide what you want out of the car before you start spending money.
if yor looking for a 12 second street driven civic, you need to start saving for an engine swap

if your just looking for a little performance, intake, header, exhaust and maybe a cam will get you by.

a chevy 357? ya mean 350 5.7? anyways a header is always a good mod, or like he said, save up for a gsr engine or something (B-series)

see the thing is i want more of a show car thats quick enough to smoke the friday night racer but not cost me an arm and a leg.im more into haveing a clean car that sounds great than a screamer plus i dont think i can do all that much with a d16y8 sohc. so as for boltons anythings appriciated and ive heard a lot about ecu upgrades but i dont know if their worth the mony or no and what the hell is a port and polish.
