what brand tire you guys running???
i ask because i have kuhmo 712's...215\45\16 inchers...i am gonna get some new tires in about 2 weeks and im trying to decide on a tire...i drive alot so i want a good tread wear rating as in 240 and up..i also need a good traction rating (aa) cause i got a h22 with bolt ons in a 97dx coupe..so what would u guys go with..????? pics, impressions, etc of your tires would be great....also i dont wanna spend like 100 bucks a tire..so lets see em..

if you are looking for some tires compareable to your Kuhmos check out the Falken Ziex 512's
360 tread wear rating - A traction - A temp - and a slight M&S rating
these tires are awesome wet and dry traction tires.... and at right around 90-100 a tire for your size they are worth a look

these tires last me forever hahah will i dont remember when i bought them they still look good i guess it's cause i change wheels alot

thanks for the info guys....yea the azenis have a shitty treadware rating and suck in the rain...so do kuhmos so id love some wet traction..

shawn....pojo just got some yokohama avs es100's and they are really nice. 280 treadwear and AA traction. and so far with all this rain they are sticking really well. I am definately getting the yokohama's next, if you wanna check them out we may try to be downtown friday night, maybe but dont really expect it. I finally got some wheels too...so i gotta get new tires.

The baddest performance street tire for the money IMHO is the Toyo T1S. I'm currently running Yokohama A520's but I'm gonna move to Falken Azenis (sp?) in the spring.

Yokohama avs es 100's... had them for about a week and love them so far (NITTOS nt450's SUCKsmellyFATdonkeyNUTTs 
). But the treadwear is 280 like someone stated before so I quess it just depends on how hard your going to be riding them. 
But these tires get my vote. (I'm biased of course

*** hoes and falkens zeix tires suck. azenis are ok but wear down too quickly.
s-03's are very good but wear is not as good, but better than the azenis. s-03's
grip very well but unpredictable. yokohama avs es100 are very very good.

kumho 712 is a nice tire ....
I still could not figure out how all the people said azenis sucks in the rain ...
i drive them in the rain alot and they are fine, and if you drive fast in the rain
....
the only problem for azenis is they wear a little bit too fast.. hey only 50 bucks a tire.. so ...
and a side note, only compare the tirewear number within that brand, each brand do it differently ...
if you choose 712, i believe you dont have 250+ to get those S03s and Pilot Sport
you will be happy with those 712, I autocross with it, good tire.

I have falken ziex502's in 205/45/16. They're good in dry and wet weather. As soon as these wear out I'm buying azenis.
