z6 has better gear ratios, but the y8 is the best because it has steal shifter forks and the same gear ratios as the z6.

yes it will bolt right up. I ran a 14.2 but I am still hoping for 13.9 before I go to a 100 shot. Damn thing weights 2680 at a CAT Scale without me in it. Dont' know why its so heavy, maybe it's because I had my 17s on it when I weighed it. That's 120 lbs over what a stock 2 dr coupe is supposed to weight though.
I want to take more weight out, but I love the appearance of my car as well as its speed. I think I'm going to chuck the power steering thats good for 30 lbs and a couple hp.
