There was just a post about this a few days ago.

A longblock is a complete motor, a shortblock is just the bottom end of the motor, The block.

a longblock is the bottom end and the head, whereas short block is only the bottom assembly

The long block is the block, head (someitmes you will get manifolds, but not generally), and sensors, while the short block is just the block.

There is nothing to love about a B16.

Tru dat y0! For real though, B16's are okay, and I don't mind my motor, but I wouldn't hold out to get a motor with less power and displacement.

I would get the b20 short block, get a vtec conversion kit, and a VTEC Bseries head, that with a b16,GSR or Type R tranny and you'll be very satisfied.

I had a b16 EG and it never seemed as fast as I thought i was going to be for he amount of money involved(because I had a pro install it ). I was always getting my *** handed to me by my friend who had a b20vtec(GSR head) with the type R tranny also in an EG hatch. but now I'm going (or at least trying to ) go the turbo d route

get a b20 motor add a b16 vtec head some pistons cams everything you need. and run a b16 tranny. awesome gearing for super power in every gear (at least I think so). its amazing. im putting about 235 or so at the wheels on street tires and pump gas. i still have stock head, stock header, stock exhaust piping, stock cat, stock intake manifold, stock fuel rail, stock injectors. cant wait to start with the rest of the upgrading.

if your in the cali area i can hook u up with the same set up for cheap. lemme know

Wait. You just got done ranting about how "stock" everything is in the next post... yet now you say its "fully" built.. Whats the deal here? Not sure what "fully" built means? Did the 235 to the wheels figure come from your ***? Smoking "vets" doesn't tell us much. You beating down on vets from the war or what? Did you mean "vettes"? You sure they were racing?
