What conditions will you be driving in?
Dry = Falken Azenis for price and grip.
Wet= Never bothered to look into it.

Ive got Yokohama AVS Intermediates (which are now discontinued). I think they are the best overall performance tire that has a long life. I only payed $40 each from http://www.thetirerack.com on closeout. I think they still have some sizes in stock, so id say check it out.

Falken Azenis don't last that long but it does have major dry grip and okay wet grip. Dunlop FM901's are okay. It has a better wet performance and less dry performance than the Azenis.

Why does everyone always jump on the Falken Azenis bandwagon when someone says they need a tire to use ALL YEAR and their location is obviously a place that sees significant snowfall in the winter?
And it's always the guys from the southwest. I think you guys shouldn't be allowed to recommend tires to anyone other than in your own region.

good all season tire yoko avid t's
good spring time driving tire yoko avs-es-100's

I have Yokohama Avids now. They aren't bad tires, but leave a lot to be desired when it comes to grip. However I've driven them over snow, ice, etc. without problems. Right now I'm planning on getting yokohama es100s and buying a set of all-season tires for my 14" stock steelies. When the weather gets bad, I'll just swap wheels. Fortunately in NC, we don't get snow/ice regularly, but when we do, its nasty.

I'll race you in the rain with my $43 apiece Kumho 711s, vs. your bald Azenis. Good luck with that standing water!

I own both and I've driven both back to back. For street driving, there is almost no difference in grip, unless you're doing something highly illegal and rediculously dangerous. And the 711s can actually go through standing water at more than 15mph without hydroplaning
Just curious, where are you from? California?

i agree
yoko es100 are good i have these in 205/45/16 love it
also have the avid t4 on my 15's and i'll choose the es100 over it
but if you have money go for the SO-3 i think they are the best all around tires had these before switching out to the avid t4 (money issue)

Yes I am from Cali. Although it doesn't snow much in my area, it does rain a lot here in the winter. I made a thread sometime last year about my Azenis in the rain... its a pretty good tire as long as you don't drive like a idiot in the rain. No need to 'performance drive' in the rain anyways...
Honestly IMO the 711's are garbage and I would rather use the stock tires that came with the damn car.
