Default what is the best setup for a type r engine

my motor is complete stock and thinking i should port polish the head and block. I am also thinking about putting new camshafts, camgears, valves, valvessprings, retainer, pistons, and just wondering if i can get some help on some setups that i can do. i want to know what compression i can go for all motor, and what brand should i choose from since there is so much.

Don't mess with a C5 unless you know what your doing... Which it sounds like you don't...

The engine is already freakin sweet for street driving right from the factory, what is your overall purpose for the car, and your ultimate HP goal?

BTW, you don't really port and polish the "block," thats a term for a certain type of headwork...
