Default What is the best option for a totaled car...

The car was never claimed through insurance, I cant because of previous tickets unfortunately. So I lost quit a bit of cash. Well my car is almost stripped down to the frame, just a few more wires, bolts, and the glass and thats all thats left. Anyways, the front end is bent. It can be fixed but I'm not sure at what cost. So I was going to part things to sell and help others with their cars and what not but then what to do with a frame. Scrap yards give like $0.05 a pound so a stripped EK coupe is maybe 2000lbs? IDK only $100 for it then. Well how expensive is frame straightening and welding? Would anyone buy a rolling shell that has had the frame straightened and what not? If so how much? Since it isnt going through insurance it would still be driveable because it wont have a rebuilt title and what not as far as I know. So scrap it? Or fix it and sell it?

What trim, what's it got? Sometimes you can make money parting a car out, sometimes you'd be better off just selling it as is. Everything from the trim level, the motor, condition of the interior/exterior, and the color of the interior can affect it.

For example, gray carpet for EGs is real common and nobody will pay much for it. Black though, people will pay pretty good money for. Same with dashes. Someone will pay more for a clean shell than one with quarter panel rot. Get what I'm talking about?

Its an EX with the dark gray interior. I'm going to see if someone can give me a good price on fixing it. Pulling the frame, welding it and taking out the dents. If its not too bad I would think or hope to get $2k out of it. My friend that works for Honda said its not that bad and it could easily be fixed. Already bought another car so w/e this one will be sold.
