Default What is the best D-series setup? (intake manifold, head, tranny, ecu, etc.)

I was wondering what everyone's opinions are on the best D-series motor setup.
Basically you can use any part from any d-series motor with a few exceptions. I was wondering what the best d-series setup would be....what head, what block, which intake manifold and ecu....etc. I was planning on swapping in a D16Z6 (sohc vtec) in place of my tired D15....but I've heard so much stuff as to which setups are better like the mini me swap.....and even then, isn't there many different kind of mini me setups? I've got about a grand to play with and all the installation will be done by me, two other guys, and a twelve pack.
And I don't wanna hear any BS about "dude, forget the d series and get a B16" cuz I've heard it many times.....I'm in favor of the D series because it's less work, a **** load less money, and with a few basic bolt ons, the D series is equal to if not better than the B16...IMO.
Your input is appreciated. Thx.

Incorrect.

The best d-series setup involves nothing but the alternator and you don't want to underdrive that when pushing larger injectors and powerful fuel management systems.

I haven't finished a true list of the "best D series setup"

Best also depends on what the goals are. Street, Drag, Track, all of the above.

I disagree with the Skunk2 manifold as well. An extrudehoned D16Y8 will flow a lot more air than the Skunk2. For the same price. AND it looks stock.

I guess Mr. BAMBAM doesn't know how to follow the rules of not posting the same question in multiple forums. Damn Newbies!!
