Default What airbox do I need?

I have a B18 swap in my eg hatch and I want that stock look. I currently have the factory B series air box in use however I dont like the way it looks. So I decided to purchase a JDM air box from an eg. I told the company I purchased it from that I was using it on a B series swap and the guy said nothing. I get it in today and its a stock JDM P08 airbox. Its damn near an exact replicas of the factory Si airbox i pulled out of this car. Now in Japan some eg's came with B16's so what airbox am I looking for and where can I find one? Is it the SiR air box I am in question looking for?

Chris

I used a stock DX airbox and GSR rubber elbow and a largehose clamp on my CX hybrid.

Yeah I want the JDM airbox though. I saw one in a front clip maybe I should have asked if I could buy it.

Anyone else know?

What makes the JDM airbox better than the USDM airbox? Does it flow better?

i doubt it. the flow depends on the piping.

Well the reason I want the JDM one is because the piping diameter and airbox are bigger than the D series one and it bolts right in. I dont want an intake and if I bought one it would be the Mugen air box but then again I dont want to shell out $650 for an airbox. So does anyone know the exact air box I am looking for and where I might be able to find it?

The mugen and the ARC airbox are nice. I'd rock the mugen one as some peeps have fitment issues with the arc one. Both have been reviewed here, should read up on them to see if ya like those. I got more links if they aint got what you need. Gimmie a holler with a IM. Hope this helps.

Yeah I did a search (i do before I post any question as its quicker than waiting for replys most of the time) for the air box and yet it yeilded nothing. Also, I actually purchased what was supposed to be a JDM airbox which I assumed was from a B16 but it wasnt.

The Comptech Icebox is another stock-ish intake.

you don't like the way it looks? you got to be kidding. it's an intake, it's for performance, not looks. keep your stock one or get an aftermarket, or are aftermarket intakes not jdm?

all the eg6 airboxes i've ever seen look identical to my stock CX airbox. you could try finding a USDM delsol vtec airbox, as they also had the b16a. but for the $$ ur spending on buy airboxes, you could just buy an AEM SRI for $80
