Im wonder what AC Bracket/Mount I have to use for my 96 Civic Hatchback with a 99-00 Si B16A2 swap.

Do I have to use a Si bracket? And what about the compressor, which one do I have to use. I took my car to my uncles shop along with my bracket, and he said it would not fit with my motor.

oh yeah, stock motor is a D16Y7

Use the 99-00 Si. It's the same chassis (same AC lines), different engine. I think you need the Si compressor though.

I did the exact swap. Use your d series compressor, and get a 97 crv bracket. It will bolt up to the b16 block and the d series compressor will bolt up with all 4 bolts no problem. Plus the crv bracket is cheaper than a del sol.

u use the crx bracket or a del sol vtec bracket...otherwise u gotta change the compressor for an si compressor and use the si bracket

WHAT? WRONG! crx's didn't come with a b series engine. and the compressoer found on a 2000 si, is the same for all civic up to the year using a r134 system.

he can use the del sol bracket, part # 38930-P54-000
or he can use the crv bracket, part # 38930-P7J-000

people suggest the crv bracket because it's cheaper than the sol's.

hell, he can even use the 2000 si bracket, they use the same compressor.

thank you guys. the only thing that confused me was that everybody said CRV or Del Sol, not Si bracket.

So, is it confirmed that i CAN use the 99-00 bracket?

also, does the Del Sol bracket have to be from a B16 Del Sol, or will a D-Series Del Sol work too.

DEL SOL VTEC. Which comes stock with a B16A3. Use the DOHC one.

It is NOT confirmed that you can use the 99-00 SI bracket. USE THE DEL SOL VTEC OR CRV!!

Nope. I tried this already. Did my swap a couple days ago and tried to use the SI bracket. Only two of the bolts line up. Not all 4.

So has anyone confirmed that the CRV bracket works on a USDM B16A2 motor w/ power steering yet? I can't seem to find the answer searching.
