What AC bracket/Comp. to use for my SWAP.........HELP
Ok I have a 99 civic ex. The ps pump and ac compressor from my d16y8 is still hooked up to the lines in the engine bay.
I have a jdm b16a obd1 longblock. This block came with the ac comp. and ps pump attached with the lines cut.
From looking and comparing the ps from my motor will bolt to the b16, the pullies are even the same diameter.
I would love to use my d16 ac compressor because I know it works and I haven't cracked the lines open yet. I know a simple solution is to get rid of ac altogether but I gotta keep the ac for personal preference.
From looking at the compressors, the jdm compress bracket is more of a squared shape with the mounting holes. THe d16 comp. holes has a slight different shape at the top mounts, not as sqaure and the jdm b16. I know I could bolt up three bolts with the jdm bracket on the d16 comp. but I would like to have the right bracket so all four bolts line up. What bracket do I need to keep the d16 comp.? Thanks

Or you can use the P7J off of a crv. It's cheaper and works just the same, works great on my 99 ex with a b16a.

From what I saw the ps pumps looked the same. I was just confused because I thought the jdm b16 obd1 ac bracket would be the same as the b16 del sols. But if it takes another bracket to make my d16 ac comp bolt to the b16 block then I will go get that. I like the idea that the crv bracket is cheaper, I wonder why?
