We've been out of the game for awhile and need info please
Me and my buddy's raced Honda's from 97-99. In those few years we went through zc's, b16a's and b18b1 turbo set ups.
Well, were back in the game! I'm trying my hand at a 350z but my buddy wants to do a 93' Civic H/B project. He wants to be a low 12's street driven(what ever that means these days) civic.
You know, when we started this project(he's actually picking the car up this weekend) we thought it'll be easy... just boost a b16a. Now, after doing some research maybe this isn't the best route. When my buddy boosted the b18b he had serious head lift issues and kind of wanted to know if they have been resolved over the last 7 years(wow i'm getting old).
Things we need to know:
Everything you have to offer

Any links to k-motor swaps in 92-95 civic h/b's threads for more parts/tech info? Also, anyone one with different options?

Don't listen to this guy. He's a tard. If you boost any b-series you will be able to achieve your goals. Which ever one you want is entirely your choice. I suggest you search (not being an ***) and try to find as much info you can on boosting different Honda motors. There are so many different opinions out there. As for the head lift you ran into, ARP head bolts are the answer to that.

key is to build your setup right bro...going with a b-series turbo is a good choice...stick with the gsr motor...its a good start. Try to find out more info, the more info you find the better your setups going to run and last...I'd say if you have the money you can go the k20 route, i've read that that Eg's with k20's run high 13's with just bolt ons...i mean if you think about it....u dont even have to go the turbo route...build the k20 a little more with cams, mani's and what not and i'm sure you'll get close to doing 12's....

turbo a k24 (TSX engine) in a stripped eg...
the k24 provides alot more torque than a k20... also i think its better to turbo a lower compression engine, imo...
hondata k-pro
ips cams
some tuning.. and its all good...
more info: http://www.k20a.org
ps: k-swaps aren't cheap

I'm pretty sure you've looked too but just in case check out the FAQs.

There's even a topic on what swaps are available for your civic.

And don't forget one rule that goes around on here:
Fast, cheap, reliable. Pick 2.
It just depends on what you do and GL with your project.
