Werid Shifting on a H22A in a ek....need opinion
I recently picked up an ek with a h22a4 swap with a jdm h22a tranny, and my first venture into the honda scene. I was wondering if the shifter is suppose to be like this. When shifting from 1 to 2 and putting back into neutral. The shifter just sits between 1 and 2 instead of sitting in the center. If I was continue driving and shifting from 1 to 2 and proceeding to go into 3rd. I'll have to shift it slightly right and up into 3rd. This same goes to 4th going into 5th gear as well. If I slow down or come to a stop and when I put it back into neutral. The shifter just sits between 5th and Reverse. Seems like the shifter is not kicking back into neutral. Is there suppose to be a spring that attaches to the shifter so when it shifts it knows how to kick into the center into neutral automatically? I was told this is normal. Can anyone here confirm this. Thanks

Re: (crazi_E)
one main problem with the h22 swaps is the use of cable instead of hydro trans. try checking under the car and see if u can find the shifter cables. they may be binding and not properly ran.
