Went to the track tonight for the first time. Sorta pissed but hey its part of the game. Anyways I hit the rev limiter in 1st, missed second ( I rarely miss gears)....finally got it into 2nd...come to the end of the run, and the car like wouldnt go into 1st or 2nd gear, nowI have to force it into 1st almost...how hard will it be for me to change the gear synchros?

its cheaper to buy a new (used) tranny than to have a shop install new synchros.

Sucks that happened to you. Was it your first time at the track? Reason I ask is after many years of...well you know, I went to the track and had a pretty horrible first run.

I just rebuild a Z6 tranny using HF 3rd gear and all new bearings. This was my first tranny rebuild. If someone asked me to do it again, i would def run away.

Just to get around for now depress the clutch and push the gear shifter into 3rd or 4th gear then shift it into first. It helps line up the gears or you could use reverse. Reverse has no synchro. I would definitely just get another tranny. Do you have a b series or a d series? B series trannies are a little more expensive. D series trannies are a dime a dozen and can normally be had pretty cheap.,

Well I wont let a shop do it, me and my mechanic or my friend can do the synchros...can anyone link me to more info on honda B series synchros and where they can be had? The car will go in 1st but its so rough you pretty much almost have to force it in...anyways happy thanksgiving yall
