Went to the track last night...this is what I got for $1000
I went to the track last night with my new parts:Skunk2 IM, Mugen chipped ecu, DC jdm 4-1, and hondata gasket. I ran a 13.91 w/ a 2.33 60 and a trap speed of 99.5mph. I spent 1k and lost over .5 seconds. I can live w/ that, its just what I expected. Now if I can learn to launch I's really be quick. Overall I have 10k i my car, a 13 second car for 10k, boy am i glad I sold my si.

congrats on getting into the 13s. That is still a good time for street tires. Still room for improvement. You can only get faster.

thanks all, i was really nervous that my driving ability,or lack there of, would keep me out of the 13's even with my last mods. There is lots of room for improvement! Im torn on my next mod, skunk2 stage 2 or itr tranny. What will help the most.

I think the header made the most out of your installed parts. The IM is a nice upgrade, but some people have mentioned a loss in low end as GSR/Si cams don't create the velocity to use that manifold. I'd say cams if it were me. Good luck with it.

Congradulations.....those are pretty nice times. I think that you can do a lot better though and/or your set up needs some tuning. I only say this because my friend was able to run a 14.6 in a 93' Si with a GSR, catback exhaust an AEM CAI (also this was on the shitty stock tires).... and nothing else. Being there is about a 200 lbs weight discrepency and all the additional things you have done, I think that your car should be capable of low 14's instead of mids.

What were the track conditions like? You could go on a perfect day and run a mid 13 or go on an absolutely hot humid day where the track is sticky and run .7-1.0 seconds slower. Happened last friday here. Even the big boys were running real slow times.
Later.
Later.

Re: Went to the track last night...this is what I got for $1000 (underrated99si)
the track is 495ft above sea level, it was about 60 deg and muggy. Yes I know my car needs tuning. Im running a 5500 vtec on gsr cams. Im going to wait till I get my cams until I take it to get it tuned. As far as the IM, I have seen it cost power for others, but I also went to a mugen chipped p28. My jdm ecu was shitty, so the change in ecu kept my low end and midrange the same if not a little better. I think im going w/ the cams next unles my clutch or syncros start giving me problems.

your car is identical to mine almost.
I have a 95 dx hatch, b18c1 w/. b16 tranny. Motor mount inserts, gsr brakes, jdm dc headers, 2.5" custom exhaust, skunk2 intake manifold, ITR AEM CAI Hondata phenolic spacer, act clutch, 16" wheels, full interior... 13.91@99mph!!!!!

Have you thought about getting different tires? You could better your qtr mile times with a much better 60 ft. I can see 13.7s or better with what you have now on better tires.

A 2.3 60 foot isn't that bad, but you should be able to get a 2.2 with normal street tires. Get that pressure down to the mid 20s and practice different launching techniques. I would say the car has at leat 13.7s in it with some 2.2 60 foots.

Yes my 60' sucks. Im running at 30psi, I will try20 next time I go. I have an extra set of 13in steelies im going to put slicks on. I know nothing about slick sizing, whats a good slick size and a good price. I definatley think the car has 13.7's in it, hopefully 13.4-.5 with my skunk2 stage2's.
