Default Went to the junkyard... (rear disk conversion) (56k, probally not)

Went to the junkyard today, got one trailing arm, strut and all the stuff that was around it for 87 dollars. I didn't have enough to get both, but I'm hoping it will be there when I get more money next week. I had to cut the brake lines though because they were rusted on, and I forgot an open end wrench. *smacks forhead*
They were pretty bad anyway. But the strut looks brand new.

And, please tell me I got the right year teggy. Everything looks right. I can use the struts on my civic to, correct?

Thanks... I'm guessing it should still be there, whos really going to grab a single trailing arm? heh. Well I first went about 5 days ago and they were there, then I just went back today, then after next weeks paycheck I'll finish it up. The engine was tore out though, and the proportioning valve was gone. So I'll have to pick that up somewhere else.

92 civic, not sure of the teg actually. I really don't know tegs. It was the rounder version... and I measured the stuff and it seems to be the same length and everything.

Oh yeah and in case your thinking its kind of dumb to buy this stuff without knowing if its exactly right, I'm pretty sure it is, and if not theres a 30 day return.

you can use 90+ Integra. The rear setup on the 86+ are the same, but the trailing arm is different. You don't need the trailing arm anyway though.

Also found out that the '90-'91 CRX Si trailing arms/brakes/ lower control arms will fit as well and not alter any suspension geometry. Did a side by side comparison the other day.

Also got lucky the other day finding a '00 SI which was totally stripped except the rear brakes. Managed to snag the rear calipers/pads/line/E-Brake cables for $50.

BTW, Pep Boys will turn each brake rotor for $10 since I noticed yours was quite rusty. Just a fyi...

i doubt many people would go and buy a rear right spindle and trailing arm off a teg in the 1 week. only people buying are buying for exactly the reason hes buying to upgrade to disk this locks the buy for next week

I agree that was retarded. Buying them as a set would've been smarter. Around here **** goes quick. If I did that I'd go back the next week and the trailing arm would be missing a caliper because someone needed one. But that's orlando for ya.

And I think they look kinda old to be paying 180 for them.

Umm... if you didn't miss it, its not that I didn't want to get it, I really didn't have the money. I asked him if they would hold it because of what I needed it for, but he said they would only hold it for 24 hours. How the **** am I going to do a rear disk conversion with one trailing arm?! *******.

The guy was a retard and didn't know what I wanted, I tried to explan everything I wanted and he said probally about 50 bucks total... I figured it wouldn't be that cheap but the guy wouldn't come out and look at it to tell me a price. So i tore one off and bleh. I doubt it will go anywhere anyway, not that many honda tuners around here.
