Weird sound coming from engine bay?
I have a 99 Civic Ex with 95,xxx miles. When the car is on there is a weird sound coming from the drivers side of the engine bay. It is kind of like a wining sound or like something needs to be oiled. It seems like it is coming from one of the belts/pulleys because the sound goes with the pulley turning. What do you think it could be? If there is anything I left out please let me know and I will post it.
TIA,
David

Like what? Here goes nothing. I have A/C and Power steering. My dad says it could be the alternator(sp?) It only does it when the car is sitting that I know of, I am not sure if it is doing it when I am driving. I can hear it when I am sitting in the car. The sound is like if a wheel was bent, you would hear it when it goes to the spot that is bent. I know that is not the best description that is the only thing I could think off. Let me know if you need more info

It could be, I am just going to have to wait until I change my timing belt to try to figure out the problem.
