Default WEIRD problem, check it out.

Hey guys, my car is messsssed up.
95 civic EX

Ok, sometimes, just out of the blue my car starts to stutter while cruising along at like low RPM's ... when it does this, my car backfires a lot, and the idle dips real low for a quick second then shoots up (think of the way the idle bounces when you disconnect the FPR hose) But if I floor it, it runs fine...so i don't think it's fuel related. I donlt know

The only thing I've noticed is that my overflow tank keeps filling all the way up and sometimes bubbles over ... but my Operating temps are fine!?

I don't know what to do...I'm about ready to drop it off at honda and let them have a field day with it.

I'd change out your fuel filter. That sounds like a culprit. How many miles? Throwin any codes?

143k miles ... running a v-afc so it throws the phantom code all the time (solid on all the time, wont throw a code) I'll try to change the filter out, thanks man.

I had a similiar problem, mine would only do it at cruising speeds. When it did it and I went WOT it'd bog and take off. I ended up changing the fuel filter and returning my fuel pressure to 52 where I had it before. Runs fine now. What kinda fuel pump are you using?
