i didnt drive my car for almost 5 months but i would periodically turn on the car and just idle. today i drove it around two or 3 blocks and when i would stop the engine would idle then rev up to about 1,500 rpm when it hits that it drops to 700 rpm and up and down and so forth. anyone know whats wrong with my car ? or how to fix it ?

do you have your A/C on? Strange...I ran into this problem two days ago and was wondering about the weird idling as well..i thought about posting this question as well, but i saw you posted the same question.

Take your iacv valve off (on the back of the IM) and clean it out with some carb cleaner and then reset the ecu and see if that helps and the idle might need to be adjusted

can it be my MAP sensor or even my O2 sensor ? any help would do guys

sooooo many things it could be. If you type idle in search, you can find tons of posts with the same question. Usually everytime it's something different. I would read though all those and see what everyone suggested.
