Weird idle issues on a y7 turbo(video inside)
http://www.we-todd-did-racing....D.jpg
My car has been idling like **** and I thought it was the IAC valve so I swapped that out for another one and the problem continued. I am starting to think that it is a vaccuum leak even though it is a fast lope, which I thought leaks made a slow lope. The idle bounces back and worth from 1400-1500rpm. In the vid the upper charge piping is disconnected and it seems like a ton of air is coming out of the IAC valve hole. Sound quality is so-so, but you get the idea. Thanks,
Pfieff

Is this just now happening? has the car been running with the turbo kit on w/ no problems before? I had a similar problem, and it turned out to be the ecu. Give some more info

I'm starting to lean towards the ECU myself. The idle was fine when the kit was first put on(or so I remember) but one time just started to do this and now it won't stop. IACV has been swapped out because I thought that was it, but nothing. Generally the car when it first starts in the morning and is cold, will idle fine, but then if i pull out of the driveway and give it any throttle or get into boost, when it comes back to and idle, it will jump around from the 1400-1500rpm.

Yea, I even had one of the tech's at work(I work at a honda dealership) look at it and he couldn't get the code to show either.

since u work at a honda dealer, have them hook it up to their scanner and read the codes via the scanner.

From my experience, it is usually NEVER the IACV. Go get some starter fluid, start the car, and spray the fluid around the intake manifold. Any changes in idle indicates a leak.

We did that and it would read, 'cannot communicate with computer'.

Tried the starter fluid trick with no luck.
