I recently swapped the drums on my 99 Civic DX with 99 GSR disc brakes trailing arm s and all. Got my alignment done and noticed that the brake pads on the rear rub on the discs a bit, creating a grinding stone sound as the wheel rotates..tech said my rotors must be warped slightly but the brakes look good. So then I hit the highway and go about 60mph and notice a vibration (not violent or anything) but this rhythmic "Omm" going through the car that has to be coming from the rear.

Car feels stable, little steering shake at 75mph or so but nothing serious but this damn pulsating sound that I keep feeling. It's makin me freak out that maybe the wheel might fly off at high speeds or something. Upon inspection of the rear brakes after driving everything seems to be in order, no loose bolts, bent metal or anything that I can see. It happens at 55mph to 80mph and then after 80 it seems to get faint but still there.

Anyone ever run into these problems? I have OMNI LCAS, and Tokico Illumina shocks/springs.

Your pads are probably causing the problem if they're touching the disc. Depends on how hard they touch. Is it somewhat dragging the car?

I get a somewhat weird hum like my car is farting when i apply my brakes at 5mph but im literally resting my foot on the brake so its just rubbing n not grabbing to really slow the car down.

I get pulsating when i apply the brakes on my car that has warped rotors but only when i apply them. not too shabby.

yeah that does sound like warped disc's. replace them and the problem will be solved.

Thanks for the responses guys Going to replace the discs this week and see if the problem is resolved, will keep ya'll updated.

oh yeah i dont know if this is also part of it. someone told me about "frozen calipers" would that term mean your pads are stuck on the "on" position, meaning its always applying brake and it wont revert back to the full "off" thing?
