Weird fuel problem? Help/Advice please!

96 CX hatch. BONE stock y7. New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc...

Driving on the highway the other day and my car started misfiring. Pulled off to see what was going on. With the car running, I started pulling the plug wires to see which cylinder was missing and it ended up being cylinder 2. It was dark so I could see/hear that the wire was still getting a very strong spark though it, so I figured it was a fouled plug.

Next day while changing the plugs, which are only about 2 months old, I noticed that all but cylinder 2 were perfectly normal looking. Cylinder 2's plug however was completely black. Put the new plugs in - same problem. Also checked the codes but the only ones on were 02 sensor, CKF sensor, and "Bank 1 too rich", but they have been on since I've had the car, and it's never had any problems at all.

My next guess was that cylinder 2's injector was stuck open, which would explain the completely black plug, and the monstrous amount of gas my car used getting home that night. Picked up a set of 99 Si injectors this morning, put the freshest looking one on cylinder 2 - same fucking problem. Also, when the injector clip on cylinder 2, it doesn't change at all, just like when the plug wire is pulled.

It's got spark and it's got fuel, it starts and runs, doesn't smoke out of the exhaust, but it feels and shakes just like its got a misfire. I pulled the 2 day old plug out of cylinder 2, and its already black. Im stumped.

Any advice/solutions would be GREATLY appreciated as this car is my daily, as I'm sure your Honda is yours. For the most part. Thanks in advance!

Have you done a fuel pressure test? You can rent the tool from your local parts store. You attach the tool where the banjo bolt on your fuel filter is. Crank and start the car. You should read ~40 PSI. Turn the car off, and let it sit for 2 hours. It should hold it's pressure within 1 PSI for those two hours.

I haven't checked it, but would that explain why that one cylinder is dumping fuel and the rest aren't?
Thank you for the response by the way!

It won't explain anything, but it will help diagnose it. If an injector is stuck open due to mechanical failure, your fuel system won't stay pressurized.

Ahhhhh. I'll have to do that as soon as possible. I did check the timing this morning and its perfect. So in the meantime I'm still stumped.
