I looked at the link above and the schematic is very fuzzy, prices are a bit steep too. I swear I saw an ad in a honda tuning or import tuner magazine once that offered weatherstripping in a variety of colors. Does anyone know where to find this stuff?

Hm.. what about mine..
I have leaks in the front corners ( mostly passenger side ) of my '94 del sol.

On both of those sites, i am not seeing the weatherstrip L and R, just FR, and RR.
are they missing parts or something? or are the FR and RR items just the complete set..

Looks like Eran left the first digit off of the first part number. Everything is in the EPC though.

The parts are listed under INTERIOR/BUMPER. Then look under ROOF PANEL and MOLDING-PROTECTOR for each part.

ahh, i get it, thanks.

so, roof panel = the rubber pieces on the targa top itself
molding protector = the rubber on the chassis that is all borked up.

I take it since these are the redesigned bits that it is not possible to just replace one part and not the other. am i wrong? I sure wouldn't mind dropping $400 less on this '94 :/

I just remember a customer I had a few weeks back. She's the first owner of a black 1993 del Sol S. It's beaten up now and has some definite cosmetic flaws on the exterior and such, but I asked about her roof.

She said she's put petroleum jelly on it every few months and has never had any sort of problem.

I don't know how well it works. She says she's been doing it since it was new though and never has had a problem.

Just wheeled the 'sol out of the garage and let it sit for an hour in the rain, then drove it 70mph on the highway for a bit.

not a single drop.

Geez, kinda sucks that i'll have to lend this to my girlfriend. I like the del sol more than my civic..

She has a 1990 ford taurus that has been on it's way to the grave for a long time.. it would take divine intervention to get that thing to smog this year. I'm loaning her the del sol on a ~6 month 'you break it you buy it' contract until she can pony up for a something else. ( she doesn't like hondas )
