fake mugen power

I just swapped in a b20, I am concerned about the driver side mount, ripping or breaking, with the added power.

As of now i just swapped the motor in and put in some inserts, the prothane ones.
Will the driver side mount rip in the future?

Which would you recccomend as a replacement. ?

50 dollars to replace it. I'd stick with OEM. If it breaks more than twice then consider getting a new one but I doubt it will break that often.

My driver side mount ripped after less than a week of normal driving with my B20. I was still in the process of tuning the wiriing and fixing my exhaust so i didnt drive it hard. I would suggest the HASport replacement mount. It converts the 96+ b-series style to the 94-01 integra style. Or place racing. I'm using the place mount now.

It's funny you guys mention this because I have a stock B16 that ripped the driver side mount; I have about 80,000 mi.

Time to look into the Hasport...

I'd get the HASport mount, not cause I designed it or anything, but that ***** the best. I have seen a lot of SOHC engines in ek's break that mount.

Dude my oem mount ripped in half the bolt in the middle of the mount snapped and my engine was hanging from that side causing my alignement to get messed up and my axle to break. The engine mount is not fifty bucks. Its 91 dollars from honda brand new. Just get a hasport mount , hcp or any other popular brands. I think anything is better than the oem ones. even a oem one with a insert. good luck

i have broken 6 of them, get rid of that POS and get hasports mount kit, it is TOTALLY worth the money. even ripped one out with inserts

I really dont think honda thought out the mount situation . A engine with more power deserves a better mount.
