i got a buddy club body kit a while ago, and i just now noticed that the left part of the rear bumper that swings around is bent out... is there a way to fix it? like can you bend fiberglass? or will i just have to buy a new rear? thanks

we do it alot at the body shop i used to work at just cause of the fact that people always came in with fiberglass kits that didnt fit up correctly.

Yeah, you can heat up fiberglass to bend it.

Re: way to bend fiberglass? (rewsnaeht)
both... hand laid is harder though so it all depends on the quality...you know how some fiberglass kits are made sturdier and better compared to the more flimsy cheap kits thats crack at the site of a pebble

if you heat it up, will it mess up the paint? because i already got it painted...

yes it will harm the paint. you should've test and fit the kit before painting.
should test and fit and kit before painting. |
Re: way to bend fiberglass? (O.G triple O.G)
you can heat up the fiberglass to bend it. heating it too much will harm the paint, and heating it not enough will not allow you to bend the fiberglass to well. take your time doing it and take small steps, but you will not be able to bend it much. if anything, just have a body shop refiberglass it to match ur body panels.
