Default Waterpump decided to go....

My waterpump went after my father put some radiator flush in it to "flush" the system. In a couple of weeks i will be doing and LS swap (buying the parts right now) so im not going to change the waterpump on the stock VX motor.

Question
Can i just put silicone or something all over it in the meantime to it doesnt leak? Im not going to use the car everyday...

TIA

My water pump is leaking also, its leaking out of the weep hole. And it sucks because the coolant is getting on my timing belt and making it squeal like a pig. But I just ordered the whole kit from prostreet. I don't think silicone is going to work, but I guess it worth a try. If you do it make sure you let it sit over night and dry.

Doubt it dude. Silicone won't hold up. If it's pissing out of the weep hole and you're not going to drive it every day, carry a jug or two of water with you and don't go on any long voyages. You'll probably be able to sneak around OK, I have gotten away with it.

It depends on how bad it is. I've taken a water pump out of my Civic with a shattered impeller that was in 6 pieces.
