water shoots out muffler when revving the car...why???
ok when i rev the car to like 5-6k rpm, water with some black gunk or what ever it is comes out of my muffler. is this normal? i am not loosing any radiator fluids at all so im pretty sure it's not my head gasket that is bad. i know that sometimes it condenses and water can come out but when i say water i can kind of see it shoot out not a whole lot but enough to where you can see it shoot out. it also smokes a lil too and the smoke is white (which a lot of people here would say its my head gasket but i been checking and it's not burning any coolant at all).

its just condensation. just like anything else, when its hot. catylitic converters convert engine emmisions, into NO2, and water. when you shut the engine down. the water vapor in teh exhaust system cools down and turns into a liquid state and settels in the muffler. when you turn it back on, its still in a liquid state and is able to be shot out. and as it heats up, the water turns into vapor, and thus is the white smoke you see.
