It will work, and it's worth 30 show points if you tell the judges.

b18c (1 and 5) are the same
not all b water pumps are the same - thats obd2 oil pumps

the difference in water pumps has to deal with the number of teeth on the gear

ANY B-series water pump will physically fit but B16 water pump(the gear) is smaller than B18C whatever water pump gear.

If you go with ITR water pump you will need an ITR timing belt I belive.

Also, the ITR water pump has less fins compared to the others, so when it's moving the coolant, the less fins the more complete flow. The more fins the more it will 'swish' the coolant around.

what part of all b series vtec water pumps are the same are some of you people not understanding?

only the b nonvtec pumps are different. and you would use the timing belt that corresponds to the block. b18c block = b18c belt. b16 block = b16 belt.

Here's the numbers(all rated at 6,000rpm

B16A water pump 140qpm
B17A water pump 140qpm
B18C water pump 148qpm
B18B water pump 148qpm

For those who huff butane:
qpm = quarts per minute

So if the b-series vtec water pumps are the same...then how could they flow different? what don't YOU understand?

I have also checked up this information previously with an acura tech when I was trying to find the highest flowing oil pump and water pump for my builds in the past

b16 pump p/n - 19200-P72-013
gsr pump p/n - 19200-P72-013
itr pump p/n - 19200-P72-013

if they were any different, why do they all have the same p/n's?

check for yourself

odd, i checked it for an '00 si. they seem to be from different manufacturers as well.

edit: after doing a little more checking it seems the obd1 gsr pumps also have different p/n's and the 92-93 gsr shares the pump with the del sol vtec you posted. so maybe there could be some slight differences.

no, double check your parts book or get an updated one.. or the #'s might be right but the gear part IS different... this I've compared myself and said to myself, WTF?

I don't rely on parts book 100% myself 'cause it's been wrong before...
