Water pump... its the little differences.
Ok heres a picture of the stock water pump from a jdm b18c.
And heres the Bosch water pump I got from pep boys.
Notice the 2 alignment "pegs" arent on the new one. All of the other dimensions are identical as far as hole locations and whatnot. slight variations but nothing that would cause fitment problems. Those alignment pin things concern me though. Did I perhaps get the wrong one or is it not a big deal?
And heres the Bosch water pump I got from pep boys.

THe dowel pins are just there to help line it up. I'm sure you
would be ok just putting the bolts back in.
As long as its alligned you should be fine.

yeah I would imagine but im just looking out for number one. wouldnt want anything as dumb as not asking a question to jack up the swap ive just poured money into. know what i mean.

For some reason, I was expecting one less blade on the Pep Boys one, hehe. Those blades on the JDM do look slighter bigger to me though. But it may just be that the pic is bigger or my eyes aren't as good as they use to be.

Thanks. Its so close Im about to scream everytime I have to leave it sitting there unfinished. All I need to do is slap the water pump on and put the new timing belt on. Then its T minus 10 till the bomb drops on my D-series

nothing. its not open on the other end its just a kind of divot in there.

hehe dont worry took me 7 months to finish my swap .. plus my car was 3 hrs away.. sooo i couldn't work on it until the weekends hehe... good lUck!!!
