ok, I have the JDM "B16A1" which is the 160hp version that was in the 88-91 CRX SiR. I will definately confess that I am not 100% sure that have all my facts straight about what my motor came out of, but I do know that it is the first gen cable tranny 160hp JDM B16A. Ok, that out of the way.....my problem is I was in the process of doing my swap, and was doing a timingbelt, waterpump, cam seals, timing cover gasket set, rear main seal, oil pan gasket and valve cover gasket set. Well the water pump I was told to order was one off a 94' Del Sol Si or a 99' Honda Civic Si. Well since I work at Auto Zone I just ordered both of them. Nothing like what came off my motor. I know I didn't accidently order D series ones cause we stock them and I compared them as well. Thing is I know the pump that came on the motor is good, I just feel like I should replace it b/c I am at that point. If I can't find the right one and I reuse it I still am at the dilemma of having to find the gasket. I went ahead and dropped the motor in and all I have left to do is the timing belt and water pump, and I am getting anxious of hearing it crank finally! Anybody have some suggestions/information that will either A: find me the correct water pump(year, make, model) or honda part # or B: help me find the correct honda part # of the gasket so I can reuse my old water pump.

Any help/suggestions/comments are highley appreciated! Being an old rotorhead I am entering some uncharted territories for me in my venture to my first swap.

You will need a Del Sol VTEC 94-97 water pump and gasket.

or a 99-00 civic si but the del sol one is probally cheaper

i ordered a 94 and it wasn't the same........and I ordered a 99si and it didn't look the same either.............
