water leaks in 98 ej6 hatch - foggy windows and water in the spare tire area
I fixed my tail light leaks and they are dry now.
Didnt see any other leaks when i pulled my interior and carpet.
But i still get foggy windows and water in the spare tire area.
Cant see the runs tho so not sure where its coming from

good luck on that one your gonna have to take a hose to it and hope to find where the leak is
take some a rag and clean all the weatherstripping and some silicon spray to them it

yea it seems like from both sides
its not from tail lights the seals are dry and i cant catch where its leaking from
i looked at the hatch hinges but they seem to be tight sealed and the rubber grommet looks good.
i even filled the gap between top of the tail light and car with silicone so the water can only go on the side of the tail light

Re: water leaks in 98 ej6 hatch - foggy windows and water in the spare tire area
My hatch had a whole bunch of leaks in both front and rear. I've found all of the sources and fixed most of them. In the rear, take a look at:
Tail Lights.
Air vents below tail lights.
Body seams in the roof under the black plastic strip that runs up to windshield.
Body seams behind the tail lights.
And of course, the weather-strip around the hatch lid.
