wat the hell,
today i looked in my car and i noticed that my transmision says d16y7 and my top is a d16y8, i got the car ( 96 civic coupe ex) like 2 months, can anyone tell me y the owner would of done that if its a ex, it should have vtec y would he put a Y7 tranny?

he is proably talking about the block code how close it is to the trans lol
looks like you had a swap in it with nobody telling you
happens alot here motor blows they dont give a expletive if its from the same car just as long as its a civic and they throw it in at some private shop

Remember your tranny is NEXT to your motor, not the bottom of it. Tranny's don't have d16y anything stamped on them.
