Default Washing seats Q?

The previous owner of my car was a smoker. Do you think I would screw my seats up if I pulled them out and washed them with a hose and laundry soap? If I screw them up I guess I could always buy new/better ones. Stock 96 DX seats really blow.

A steam cleaner will work much better. You can rent the lil' ones from the groc store that have an attachment to do upholstry(sp?). And yeah 96 dx seats sux. I had 'em too. Now i'm sportin' 99 EXs, thanks to b16ej. They're comfy.

Ha, I know the feeling. No $ right now for new seats though, having prob. with my engine. I pulled them out and washed them with my garden hose. Seemed to have worked so far.
