Washed the engine bay... think I missed up?
I've done this before on various other Hondas and I covered the alternator, intake and distributor. I let the car dry thoroughly and now when I start it I have a ROUGH put-put-put kind of idle and my CEL went on.. WTF did I do!
I just noticed after washing that the AEBS intake manifold I have on my car, it has 2 holes drilled into it that I can see through the bottom of the engine bay... did I hydrolock my engine?
I tried letting the car idle to let the engine get up to operating temp, but all I get is a flashing CEL, and my exhaust sounds like a diesel car. Any info on this?

let it run a little to make it warm up and it will take a bit of time like 15 minutes for it to go away. It happen to a buddy of mine just be acareful next time.

i bet looking up the check engine code you are getting would tell you what the problem is, and i bet it would tell you that you have a missfire in one cylinder, causing a weird idle.
and there might be some water in that spark plug tube...

Thats really strange because I have the spark plug cover on and I didn't spray from that direction. As far as I know its bone dry underneath it.
I guess I'll let it idle for a good while and pray it fixes itself. Otherwse I am SCREWED.
Thanks guys.

its misfiring a little, but not throwing any codes.. I'm giving it 20 mins to try and smooth itself out/dry.

it's common to get water into the distributor when washing the engine. if that's the case just take off the cap and blow in it with an air hose..
