i have a 2000 civic si and my catalytic convertor is rattling. Im sure its due to the exhaust. The vibration probably loosened up the contents of the cat. Does anyone know what the warranty on the cat is? isn't there a special warranty because it deals with emissions? do you think the dealer will replace it or will they bs me? if they don't does anyone know how much a cheapo cat would be from a muffler shop? i dont wanna go hi-flow because im gonna go with a 3" next year when i get my turbo so it would be a waste. each car s cat. has a different warranty on it..i beleive the warranty on the SI is 60k..or 5 yrs...they have to honor the warranty..if the bullshit u..let the state know..lastly..dont u read ur owners manual?

50,000 miles/no limit on time per Federal Regulations on ALL emission related equipment.

8 years or 80,00 miles is the warranty on your cat. The dealer should replace it unless it looks like it has been abused. (If the bottom is caved in from driveing over parking barriers they won't cover it.)
