BTW:
I do not even have an Ebay account - can someone PLEASE contact that seller and tell him to remove my pics immediately please?
Or could someone lend me their user name as password via IM and let me tell the ****** to stop using my pics?
I'd hate for someone to buy some bunk **** thinking it's mine.

Also is any of you Ebayers can contact the bidders and give them links to this or the topic I started in the GDD forum, that's be awesome.
the high bidder of $650.00 retracted his bid after an H-Ter notified him with links to my H-T topics.

we'll find out if he's really scamming, or if he has an actual tranny for sale and just wanted to use pics of a clean car.

...Just emailed the current high bidder a warning with a link to this thread.
I was scammed by an eBay-er once (blown D16z6 swap/replacement for $600) , so this **** really pisses me off.
I'll keep an eye on it and continue emailing the high bidder until no one is left or eBay removes the auction.

Nice.
I suppose that would have been the smart thing to do ( on me)...

LOL. I just hope they don't think I'm sending them a link to a virus and don't bother opening it. If only I was further along in my Force training....

Maybe he's planning on stealing his car and figured he'd get the parts sold prior?

While I do agree that the seller is wrong in every way possible, unless the pics are copyrighted, he/she didn't steal them. They are on the 'net for everyone to see and/or use at will. It's a downfall of the internet age....free information.

Read the Ebay terms of use.
It is a violation to even copy someone else's written description of anything being sold. They also go into detail about how anyone copying pictures that do not belong to them will be in violation of their rules as well.
I do not have to copyright pictures that I myself take. Just because I post them up on the internet doesn't give anyone else the rights to them to do as they see fit with them.
I guess I'll just start taking pics posted from members and starting auctions of their cars then, eh?

Which is why I said it's wrong in every way. I was just pointing out that he/she wouldn't go to jail or be fined unless the pics are copyrighted. Hell, I love Tom's car too. I have a couple of his pics that I use for backgrounds on the 'ole pc from time to time.

Ok, but how can you prove that you took the pic? If it has no identifying marks on it, like Property of Tom, y0, and you post it on the net, there are dirtballs out there that may use it for their own ill-gotten gains. It would be one person's word against the others. I'm not trying to get everyone all ruffled up, I was just saying...

HOW ABOUT THE FACT THAT THE NUMBER BELOW THE BLOCK CODE MATCHES THE VERY ENGINE IN MY ******* CAR?
I swear to god what is it with people trying to be argumentative?
I'm trying to keep people from being scammed, and you question my intentions? If it was only about busting some jealous pic thief's ***** it would not matter so much...
