warming motor up
I have a jdm b16 in my ek hatch.Every morning i let it warm up for about 10 mins. My question is... i hear its bad to let your car sit and run because the pistons fry. Is ten minutes really bad for the pistons?

Re: warming motor up (coquitlamEG)
its better to let your car run, gets fluids flowing and warmed up to the right temperature.

warming up is fine... you don't want to push the car while it's still cold so 10 minutes is more than enough... letting the car sit idling all day is much better than driving it or redlining it... i don't know where you heard that the pistons fry.. sure they get worn out each time the motor is in motion but with appropriate lubrication it's not bad
