We deal with ignorant all the time. It's ok - not everyone knows everything about their car. Around here, ignorance can be a valid excuse. Laziness is not.

Stop being lazy. Scroll down a little. This thread might have a dead picture in the OP, but there are 4 fully functioning pictures on the first page, a total of 5 in the entire thread, and two links to two more threads with more working pictures. Those threads also have links to more threads with working pictures. It even has bolt sizes for the hardware you'll need to loop.

I would personally put a breather in it. It isn't a closed system from the factory, and it should be kept that way. Also, a breather makes future maintenance easier.

Re: wanting to remove PS in 99 hatch
My first civic didn't have PS, and it wasn't bad. With my recent swap I looped my power steering and have "no PS" and it's not even remotely the same. I strongly advise you to change the rack out for a manual one. I left my PS rack in because I'm going to be on the hunt for an electric PS pump from an MR2 or EP3 to add power steering back without the parasitic drag.
PS is a god send. Especially for racing, it's a lot easier to regain control of your car with a pump assisting the steering.
