Want type of shift lights do you use?
I am looking to install a shift light of some kind in my hatch.
Questions are 1-It is stripped and I want something discrete.
2-I do not want a large tach in the vehicle.
3-Does anybody have the Axas shift indicator?
Anyway, what are you using and does it work for you?
Thanks for the info.

im not running just a shift light,..im running a pivot tach with pivot shift light,...as for you wanting it to be discreet,..i remember someone posting a picture of thier shiftlight behind the center air vent,..it was a sweet spot to put a shift light,..you really can only see it when its time to shift

i have a shift light some guy makes and sells online for like 30or40 bucks...he sells different colors and they are programmable to any RPM (in 100 RPM intervals) and you dont need a pill for different ranges like lots of autometer ones do
i just have the small tube with the light in it and use my stock tach, it works very well...i use it all the time, especially merging on highway

pivot makes a really small shift light that you can plug into your cigarette lighter
i hard wired it (simple)
it works pretty damn good and its really small
pretty clean looking if ya ask me
email me for pics

pivot!
I think it will be perfect for your ride.
No wiring involved, just hook it up to your cigarette lighter and its done. I think it is also very accurate, and you are probably going to ask if it is bright or not. IMO: it is bright and it attracts my attention.

I think shiftlights are useless, or atleast for me because I shift at different points with each gear. When going from 1st to 2nd ill shift around 2500-3000 and anything on up ill shift at 4000-5000.

even when you're racing?
the main purpose of a shift light is to let you know when to shift w/o looking at tach.

If you need to look at a light to know when to shift- you shouldn't be driving an import. I don't know about you people out there, but I've learned my motor, I can feel/hear it and know exactly when to shift throughout the diff. gears. Im not saying im some crazy *** NIRA champ-but shifting chouldnt require a light.

its not a shift light....(vtec led)....lets me know when i kinda get close to redline
but all i would need is an msd rpm switch....soooo
and shift lights would help me out...i've just switched back from a dx tranny to an ex tranny....the end of a gear comes a lot quicker...i've hit the limiter, not a whole lot, but more than once.
